The health care industry is by far the largest employment segment in the valley. In 2015, health care companies employed 122,500 workers in the area. The largest local company in the health care field is City of Hope, which employs approximately 7,000 workers among the world-renowned Helford Hospital and research center.
The San Gabriel Valley is well connected to other points of the Los Angeles Metro Area and to other communities throughout Southern California. Three east-west and three north-south freeways serve the valley and provide easy access to nearby employment hubs and city centers.
The Rowland Unified School District is highly rated and one of the best in the country. The district has 4 National Blue Ribbon Schools, 16 “California State Distinguished Schools,” and more Golden Bell awards than any other district in the region. There are also private options, such as the Oxford School located in Rowland Heights.
Rowland High School and Alvarado Intermediate School (each within a 1½-mile radius of Azure Apartments) are both rated 8 out of 10 or better by GreatSchools.com.
Cal Poly Pomona Ranked Among the Top 25 “Best Four-Year Colleges in California” The school is only seven miles to the northwest of Azure Apartments and generates $319 million annually to the economy and produces 7% of all engineers in California.
